Most of the ingrown hair treatments available are costly and offer mixed results.  Mike and i had tested three popular products that did not live up to their claims.  You expect when you pay more, the better the results, which we found not  to be the case.  These products were our first tests, looking for relief from the ugly red bumps.  We were disappointed.

Thats when I decided to go back to my natural remedies.  If you've read my page on Home Remedies, you know I'm a big fan of natural botanicals.  Green Tea and honey have been used for centuries to heal wounds.  Honey is a natural antiseptic, exfoliator and healing remedy.  It's been used to heal cuts, bruises, irritated skin and prevent scarring.  I found Nano DNA  Antioxidant Facial Cleanser. It had a long list of botanicals including, Green Tea, honey, aloe and natural Vitamin A.  Vitamin A is basically retinol which is used in clarifying and exfoliating the skin.

 Mike and I also wanted an all in one product.  One that prevents, treats, and exfoliates the skin.  I like solutions that are easy and cost effective, and get results.  After alot of research, I came across Mourad Skin that makes Nano DNA products exclusively and guarantees it products.  Anyway, I ordered Nano DNA Antioxidant Facial Cleanser for Mike and I to test.

The Nano DNA product we ordered was Antioxidant Facial Cleanser as a treatment and as an ongoing remedy and prevention product.  The facial wash stated that it not only cleansed the skin, it exfoliated and moisturized with aloe and honey.  Sounded good.  So Mike and I read the direcions.  We agreed to do a quick shave, like when you're half asleep, to get some ingrown hairs.

After my improper shave the previous day, I did get some ingrown hairs by the next evening.  The next morning my face was very irritated and I had several larger, really red bumps.  I washed my face with the skin cleanser and then shaved.  The natural botanicals soothed my face in about five minutes.  I repeated the treatment in the evening.  The next day I treated my beard area in the morning and evening.  I awoke on the third morning to find my face completely healed.  All the irritation and the large red bumps...  were gone.  I really like this antioxidant remedy.  It not only healed my ingrown hairs and irritation, it left my skin feeling refreshed and soft.  It worked after two days, unlike the other products that took one to two weeks to get the same results.  Aloe Aid was also much cheaper. It is excellent. 

Mike and I had agreed to try the Nano Dna Cleanser for two weeks. We decided to use the product when we shaved in the morning and again in our evening routine.    Basically, I washed  my whole face, leaving the cleanser on my face.  I let it work its magic while I flossed and brushed my teeth.  I know it sounds strange, but  That's how I've always done it.  I figure it lets my beard get softer.  I then splashed a little water on my face and re massaged it.  I then did my shaving routine.  I reapplied that evening leaving it on my face for five minutes before rinsing.

My One Week Results; My face had a brighter look to it. My skin tone was evening out. I had not had any ingrown hairs the whole week.  My skin was smooth and soft.  

My Two Week Results;  My face looked really good.  It was smooth and had a even texture to it.  It appeared brighter and more even in color. I think the appearance had also improved because my pores seemed to have shrunk.  They were smaller and shallower.  I didn't have any ingrown hairs the entire two weeks. 

I think the Antioxidant Facial Cleanser did an excellent job.  It was the All In One product I had wanted. It prevented ingrown hairs, irritation, exfoliated and moisturized my skin.  The added benefit was that I replaced my shave gel and my usual face wash with much effect.  I highly recommend Nano DNA Facial Cleanser-

Mike's misadventure with shaving really messed up his face.  Maybe he has a sensitive baby face.  At  least that's what his wife thinks.  His whole beard area was broken out, with several larger red bumps, and two already forming pustules.  He washed his face and left the product on for 5 minutes. He said his face better after ten minutes.  He washed again that evening.  He followed the same routine the second day.  On the third morning most of the irritations were gone.  The larger bumps and the two that had pustules were almost gone.  That evening his face was completely clear.  Mike felt the product super results.  Especially in comparison to the other three ingrown hair treatment  products we tested.  He felt Nano DNA Facial Cleanser was excellent, remembering how bad his face had been at the start. 

Mike's One Week Results;  Mike felt his face had a nice "glow" to it. It looked refreshed and had a more even color.  His face looked and felt smooth.  He felt his skin looked better after one week.  He had no ingrown hairs or irritation during the week. 

Mike's Two Week Results;  Mike was very pleased with the appearance  of his face.
